What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin (BTC) is known as the first open source peer-to-peer digital cryptocurrency that was developed and released by a group of unknown independent programmers named Satoshi Nakamoto in the year 2008. Bitcoin does not have any centralized server used for issuance, transactions and storage, as it uses a public, decentralized and distributed database technology called blockchain or (blockchain), which requires an electronic signature and is backed by a proof of work protocol to provide the security and legitimacy of the transactions between users. The issuance of Bitcoin is done by users with mining capabilities and has a limited supply of 21 million units. Currently, the market capitalization of Bitcoin exceeds $ 138 billion and this is the most popular type of digital currency. The purchase and sale of cryptocurrencies is available through special Bitcoin exchange platforms or ATMs.
